Calabar Alumni Scholarship Help Students Succeed
The Calabar Alumni Scholarship program funds tuition, uniform, and lunch for students with financial difficulties in grades 8-12 at Calabar High School in Kingston, Jamaica.
About Calabar
Calabar High School focuses on the holistic development of young men who are committed to service and community. Founded in 1912 to provide a high school education for boys of working and middle class families, the school maintains that original commitment today, as well as its reputation for producing talented students, several of whom have gone on to become Jamaica Rhode Scholars. Calabar Alumni Scholarship Process
Who is qualified?
Students in grades 8-12 with an overall academic average of B or higher and excellent attendance.
How are donations handled?
100% of all donations are credited to Calabar Alumni Scholarship's account with the Calabar Old Boys’ Association.
How are students awarded?
Students express their financial need directly to Calabar's Bursars Office and are awarded based on funding availability.
Who We Are
The Calabar Alumni Scholarship program, started in 2022, is led by a group of dedicated alumni (Calabar Old Boys) around the world who are committed to giving back and making a difference in the lives of young Jamaicans, starting with the students at their Alma Mater, Calabar High School. Calabar Old Boys hold prominent occupations in Jamaica and countries throughout the world and are honored by the opportunity to lift up the next generation.

Get Involved
Give the Gift of Education
The Calabar Alumni Scholarship program accepts donations year-round. Donations are distributed to Calabar's Bursars Office each year in August to grant students awards before school starts in September.
